Find A Way Home is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, providing and advocating for high-quality, affordable housing in North Fulton County. By finding a way for every family to live in a permanent, safe and secure home close to where they work, our community becomes a stronger and safer place for all of us.

In addition to providing affordable rental housing to workforce families, we also provide financial literacy education and individualized support and mentoring. By bringing all of these elements together in one comprehensive program, we help families break the cycle of poverty.

Winding Down 2011: What Are Your Year-End Giving Plans?

It has been a busy and eventful year here at Find A Way Home, and it is hard to believe that 2011 is rapidly coming to a close. We are fortunate to have great support from our community, which was exemplified by the great crowd that came out for our 4th Annual Tailgate Fundraiser a few weeks ago.

You can read more about what we’ve done this year, along with profiles of our client families, in Find A Way Home’s 2011 End of Year Newsletter.

Also included in the newsletter are several ways you can support us as we continue to fulfill our mission to provide high-quality affordable housing in the community; as we expand the number of families we serve, we need your continued financial support now more than ever. Donations can be made quickly and easily online, or by mail. Our in-kind wishlist is conveniently located at Amazon.com.

As the year draws to a close and you make your final determinations about your 2011 tax-deductible giving, please consider including Find A Way Home in your giving plans.

Wishing each and every one of you a safe and happy 2012!

Our 4th Annual Tailgate Fundraiser: Another Success!

Thank you to all who came out to our 4th Annual Tailgate Fundraiser! It was another successful and FUN year for Find A Way Home’s signature fundraiser.

A lively crowd of FAWH supporters gathered at thehome of Doc and Mickey Holder to watch the Falcons take on the New Orleans Saints. A delicious barbecue spread was provided by Lin Holoman, and was the perfect complement to an afternoon of football.

Though the Falcons lost, Find A Way Home raised over $4,000, which we consider a win!

Thank you again to all who came out to support us. We hope to see you next year!

Thank You to Our Local Civic Organizations!

Find A Way Home was recently honored by the Rotary Club of Roswell and by the Roswell Woman’s Club with grants to support our affordable housing program.

The RWC grant helped to fund extensive repairs and renovations on our single-family home. Had we hired a private contractor, these repairs would have cost Find A Way Home upwards of $10,000, but with the support of RWC and countless volunteers, we completed the project for a fraction of that. A client family moved into the newly-renovated home on April 1st!

The grant from the Rotary Club of Roswell will be used for general operating expenses and for our financial literacy education program. All Find A Way Home clients are required to participate in a thirteen-week financial literacy workshop. They also work one-on-one with a mentor, who assists with budgeting, goal setting and coaching the family to achieve their financial goals.

THANK YOU, Roswell Woman’s Club and Rotary Club of Roswell – We appreciate your support!
